Al wat ek kan se is dat na 819 000 km sonder enige bymiddels gaan ek verseker nie nou begin met allerhande truuks en foefies - beslis nie: non flammable liquid graphite (2SO) !

I called the local agents here asking for a 300k service kits and breakdown of what should be changed. Filters and fluids obviously. Sump Plug. Front and Rear Pads/Shoes. Is that all? I was shock that the pads are over R 2 000 a pair, rear a little more. What else should be serviced? I'm pretty ana...

I own a 2000 GL 4.2D(onkey)

Currently at 813000 km, yes that is correct

I use it daily, weekly, weekends, yearends...still going as on day 1

Yes it is a bit slow compared to Turbo vehicles

Overall fuel consumption 7.8km/l

I love my car.......

If you can get your hands on one, take it home.

I bought a so-called Bosch Universal - easy to find and easy to service and very "pleasantly" priced

I keep service parts for it in my toolbox....

Note sure why you opted to pull the old one - now that you have done so best is to put a new one back.

My 2000 Patrollie has now done 806000 km yes 806 thousand - still the original water pump....

Fitting progressive coils up-side-down will catch on the rubber bump stop and sound like a whale with a sore tooth
