My 4.2d recipe (aka the happy oil family)
From the left, engine oil, diff oil(both), gearbox oil, lastly, transfer case oil.
Apparently this is an acceptable brew for my patrol

Time for an update... I haven't kept this thread up to date over the past few months. At 245024 km I replaced all the drive train oils. The drained oils were in very good condition. Front diff oil looked brand new. Only the transfer case oil was off-colour slightly. No worrying bits of metal on the...

To move the crank, use the power steering pump pulley. I think its a 23mm or thereabouts.
